Multi-modal Seed-Starting Experiments - Preliminary

Experimental Effectiveness:

Potting soil, LED grow light on timer, hand-watering

Setup:

Using the HarvestStorm eGX-5 expandable plant stimulator with electrodes in a single soil pot, and expansion modules into other pots with seeds. Used alligator clips to daisy chain electrode outputs to other steel rod electrodes when I didn't have enough modules on-hand.

Observed Results:

General Increases in growth rate and size compared to controls. Some seeds did better than others.

Results & Discussion:

I have found that not all plants respond favorably to the same form of stimulation. As an initial test of different seeds I had on hand, it validated that it worked well with cherry tomatoes and basil. The experimental setup was a bit messy for me, and I will aim to do simpler setups that are more cleanly organized.
